Thats what I had to do to get cyclops in my room to go again... The -check didn't say to try --fix-fixable, but I tried it anyways, and that didn't help. So rebuilt the file system, got it booted up, and reinstalled gentoo on the second hard drive. That took up most of the weekend, I had it booted and working by Saturday evening. The fun part was while I was installing it, I had the old system up and running. I switched from sendmail to postfix for my mail server, and postfix is so much faster. It also plays nicer with mailman, what I use for mailing lists, though I should be getting mailing lists of this computer and onto the one in california, wolverine.

We had our first NetTech meeting today. It didn't go that horribly over an hour as we thought it would. We had brownies and cookies and soda/pop. I'm still waiting on my powerbook to be fixed, they're waiting on a replacement logicboard, Apple's terminology for a motherboard apparently. And my hard drive should reach California tomorow, and hopefully get replaced sometime this week, and hopefully rebuilding the RAID array wouldn't be too bad, espcially since I figured out how to do it from the operating system :)

My car, well I called up the insurance that the other guy has, they're waiting for it to get approved from the appraisal department. Since its some small company from another state, if they don't like the estimate I got from Tatman's, the local repair place, they're going to have to send someone from out of state to appraise the value of the damage, which would just lengthen the process. I think I'll take up the rental car option, since I get nothing for not having a rental car, might as well use what I can get, espcially since I wanted to use my car this weekend.
